BETHESDA, MD — October 11, 2025 — The Armenian Community Event Planners (ACEP), a non-profit committee formed by joint members of St. Mary Armenian Church and Soorp Khatch Armenian Church of Washington, D.C., hosted “An Extraordinary Night of Music” — a breathtaking cultural concert that filled the Winston Churchill High School auditorium with the vibrant sounds of Armenian artistry and spirit.

The evening featured six world-class young Armenian virtuosos — Narek Baldryan, Kristine Enoyan, Tatul Harutyunyan, Tigran Harutyunyan, Merujan Minasyan, and Arsen Zakaryan — who captivated the audience with masterful performances blending traditional Armenian melodies with contemporary flair.

Organized in recognition of Armenian-American Heritage Month, the concert also served as a heartfelt tribute to the late Silva Mekinyan, a beloved teacher and mentor whose passion for Armenian music inspired generations. Held during the month of her birth, the event honored her enduring legacy and dedication to nurturing young talent.

Beyond its musical brilliance, the evening reflected the unity and dedication of Washington’s Armenian community. Through ACEP’s efforts, the concert became a moment of shared pride, remembrance, and cultural celebration — a testament to the power of music to connect hearts and preserve heritage.
