Hamazkayin DC News & Updates highlights the Armenian Educational and Cultural Society’s Washington, DC chapter. Established in 1982, Hamazkayin DC promotes Armenian arts, literature, education, and cultural heritage throughout the Greater Washington area. The chapter organizes theater productions, concerts, literary evenings, art exhibits, and community forums. It also hosts speakers and intellectuals from Armenia and the diaspora, and provides youth with leadership and cultural development opportunities. Its Van Dance Ensemble preserves and showcases traditional Armenian dance.
