Armenian Carpets – Art of Survival

Join us on Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 5:00 PM at Soorp Khatch Church Hall for an engaging lecture presented by Arto Tavukciyan on “Armenian Carpets: Misunderstood and Misattributed – The Art of Survival.” Specially invited from Vancouver, this unique presentation explores the rich history and cultural significance of Armenian carpets. March for Justice
24 April 2026
Join the Armenian community of Washington DC on April 24 for a March for Justice as we commemorate the victims of the Armenian Genocide and demand accountability for the ongoing injustices against Armenians.
Organized by the AYF-YOARF Washington DC Chapter, the march will begin at the Azerbaijani Embassy and continue to the White House, where a protest program will take place.

1489 – Award-Winning Armenian Documentary

Join Hamazkayin DC for a powerful evening of film and discussion with the screening of “1489”, an award-winning Armenian documentary by director Shoghakat Vardanyan.
This deeply personal film tells the real story of a family searching for their son who disappeared during the Artsakh war, offering a raw and moving perspective on loss, memory, and resilience.
Following the screening, stay for a special Q&A session with the director.
